While you may not be on the hunt for a new job, who is to say you cannot apply the same ideas to land a dream client.

It is true that the AEC industry is a bit behind the ball when it comes to social media integration, so the article may not help new graduates land a job at the architectural firm of their choice. However architects may be able to take a cue from the author to learn how to use twitter to engage with their potential dream client. In the very least, the article is filled with little gems on proper twitter etiquette that may help you work smarter rather than harder.

Skeptics may argue that 140 characters isn’t enough to post a complete thought, much less a proper introduction to a potential employer. In a time when three out of four workers say they’re in constant job-seeking mode and most resumes barely command six seconds of attention (unless you try these subtle ways to set yours apart), taking a couple of minutes to tap out a thoughtful tweet could open the door to a new career.
